INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE
Your privacy is important to us. We built Pose Genius with privacy at its core because your photos are personal and we respect that.
Here's our approach in a nutshell: We only collect what we need, we don't sell anything, and we delete photos fast. This policy explains exactly how Pose Genius collects, uses, and protects your data.
WHAT WE COLLECT
- Email (if you sign in) → Why: To save your preferences and manage your account
- Device info (iOS version, model) → Why: To ensure the app works properly on your device
- Usage data (what features you use) → Why: To improve the app and fix bugs
- Photos (only while processing) → Why: To analyze your pose and generate recommendations
WHAT WE DON'T COLLECT
- Location → We don't need to know where you are
- Contacts → Your contacts are none of our business
- Your photo library → We only see photos you explicitly upload
- Health data → Not an Apple Health app
HOW WE USE YOUR DATA
We use your data to:
- Generate your AI pose recommendations - This is the main purpose of the app
- Improve the app experience - Fix bugs and add features users want
- Measure our marketing - Understand which campaigns bring users to the app and measure the effectiveness of marketing for our own apps and services
- Send you notifications - Only if you enable them
Important: We DON'T use your photos to train AI models. Your photos are yours.
THIRD-PARTY SERVICES WE USE
We use trusted service providers to operate the app:
- AI Processing → Google Gemini (Google LLC) processes your selected photos and prompts to generate AI results. We do not permit use of your data for model training.
- Analytics & Product Improvement → We use analytics and technical service providers to understand app usage, improve performance, and diagnose issues.
- Purchases & Subscriptions → We use payment and subscription service providers to manage purchases and premium access.
- Marketing Measurement → We use marketing measurement partners to understand which campaigns bring users to the app and measure the effectiveness of marketing for our own apps and services.
- Infrastructure → We use secure cloud infrastructure providers to operate the service and store account data.
DATA RETENTION
Source photos: Deleted within seconds after we analyze them. We don't keep your original photos on our servers.
Generated photos: Available for 24 hours after you download them, with a maximum of 14 days total. The 14-day max is in case you forget to download them.
Account data: Kept until you delete your account. You can delete your account anytime from Settings.
IMPORTANT PROMISES
- We DON'T sell your data - Not now, not ever
- We DON'T use your photos to train AI - Your photos are yours, and we don't permit third parties to train on them either
- We DON'T share your photos with advertising or marketing partners - Your photo content is never used for marketing measurement
- Photos are temporary - Automatically deleted according to our retention policy
- AI sharing is required - Sending photos to Google Gemini is how the app works; without it we cannot generate results

You have the right to:
